Frequently asked questions
The banner lead time is a rough approximation (in business days) of my print queue. It gives a general idea of how long you can expect it to take before your order starts printing.
Note that this is not time to shipping, but time to print start. Large orders or orders with large models requiring multiple print cycles may take several days to complete.
When your order is close to starting print, I will message you with approximated production time and targeted shipping date.
We print on 8k Saturn2 printers with a layer height of 0.03mm. This yields the absolute best detail.
We use a high-grade ABS-like resin for maximum detail and durability. No cheap resins here.
We use a 4-step cleaning process to ensure maximum detail. The majority of supports are carefully removed after the first cleaning step.
With any 3D-Printed resin product, small supports or support residue may remain. Some additional preparation may be required prior to painting.
Our current projected start time is 2 business days. That means your order will start printing within the next 2 business days after you place the order. Large orders or orders with large models requiring multiple print cycles may take several days to complete. (Lead time last updated 3/14/2023)
We pay for commercial sales licenses for every miniature in our store. If a studio has listed a file that we do not currently sell, please use the Contact form to request that we add the file. We will review with the creator and will do our best to add the file to our inventory as quickly as possible.
If you know of a creator or studio that we do not carry, but you think we should, please contact us and we will research whether we can add them to our lineup. We will only consider doing so if we can legitimately purchase a commercial license from the creator.
If the creator does not offer a commercial license and/or we cannot obtain one, we will not print files from that creator for any reason.
No.
Your miniatures will be 3d-printed exactly as sculpted by the creating studio. This may mean printing as a single part or, most commonly, in multiple parts. Minis will not be assembled before shipping, which greatly reduces the chances of damage during the shipping process.
I recommend using super glue to assemble your minis (plastic glue will NOT work on resin).
We also sell a kit with all the tools you need for cleanup and assembly.
Prints will be thoroughly cleaned, and the majority of supports will be removed prior to curing. Some supports (especially small or difficult-to-access supports) may remain on the model.
It is normal for the supports to leave minor dimples or ridges on the model. These can easily be sanded or scraped away (the assembly kit sold here also includes sanders with a total of 4 different grits for this purpose).
Unless specified otherwise, photos and videos are computer-generated renders provided by the creating studio. These are not photos of the actual physical product unless specified otherwise in the photo. Actual minis will be 3d-printed on demand in grey ABS-like resin and may not match the color of the renders.
Once cured, resin is as safe to handle as any other plastic. All miniatures will be fully cured prior to shipping.
Please keep in mind that because 3d printing resin is not intended for food uses, it has not been tested or rated as food-safe. I strongly recommend not trying to eat the miniatures.
Miniatures and models may contain small parts that represent choking hazards. Please keep away from pets and children.
